Theater on Vasilyevsky in Saint Petersburg

The State Drama Theater on Vasilyevsky Island emerged in 1989 as the experimental studio "Secret". This theater continues to crown itself with the best traditions of theatrical art in St. Petersburg, becoming a modern and modern institution. This is a unique combination of tradition and innovation. Initially starting as a private initiative, the theater became state registered in 1991. In addition to complex dramas and author’s variations, the theater’s repertoire also includes productions for children. Directors and actors create original fairy tales, beautifully designed and colorful to delight young audiences. The theater is also actively involved in charitable activities, providing assistance to children from disadvantaged and low-income families. Free charity performances become a constant holiday for young spectators.

Since its founding, the Vasilyevsky Island Theater, under the direction of Vladimir Slovokhotov, has attracted the best actors, which has significantly improved the reputation of the institution.
