On the stage of the St. Petersburg Theater of Musical Comedy, the audience will be treated to a musical extravaganza in two acts, “White. St. Petersburg" based on the famous novel "Petersburg" A. Bely.

The actions in A. Bely's novel take place in 1905, when the air in St. Petersburg was literally filled with anticipation of something unknown, new, frightening and amazing. How do the residents of St. Petersburg and the city itself, “beautiful with its dying beauty,” experience this? The author shows the example of a family in which the son wants to commit a terrorist act against his father, a prominent dignitary.

The heroes are constantly tormented by contradictions and visions, and the narrative itself is full of metaphors and references. It is metaphorical about the revival of the Bronze Horseman, descriptions of St. Petersburg, which, according to critics, organically complement the picture of the city drawn by Dostoevsky and Gogol.

The director and composer of the Musical Comedy Theater created a magnificent musical production based on Bely's novel. Firtich's acute psychological musical avant-garde and Trostyanetsky's direction – a unique opportunity for viewers to make an incredible journey to St. Petersburg in 1905 and feel all the intensity of emotions, experiences and expectations when society was on the verge of the destruction of past hopes and many destinies and the discovery of new truths that filled the entire soul to the brim.</p >

The production received many rave reviews from critics and awards. The awards recognize the work of the director, conductor, and many artists.

The audience saw the performance for the first time in 2015 in honor of the 110th anniversary of the events described in A. Bely’s novel. Since then, it has been included in the repertoire of the musical comedy theater and is invariably sold out.
