A grand event is expected in Bahrain in early December – a concert by the legendary band Metallica

The history of the band began in 1981 in Los Angeles. James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, fascinated by the British new wave of heavy metal, united thanks to Ulrich's announcement of a search for associates to work together. This fateful event became the starting point for the creation of the legendary band. Initially, the group faced difficulties in finding a permanent line-up, but soon they were joined by guitarist Dave Mustaine, who added aggression and technicality to Metallica's sound. He was followed by bassist Ron McGovney, and the band began to actively perform on the Los Angeles club scene, quickly gaining a reputation as a powerful and energetic team. Their early concerts were distinguished by the raw sound that became Metallica's calling card. In 1983, significant changes occurred: Mustaine was fired due to personal differences and problems with alcohol and drugs. He was replaced by Kirk Hammett from the band Exodus, who added more melodic elements to the guitar solos. The band's move to San Francisco marked a new stage in their career: here they met bassist Cliff Burton, whose elements of progressive rock and jazz enriched Metallica's music.

Over the years, Metallica remains one of the most successful bands in the rock and metal genres. Their commercial achievements are impressive, but we shouldn’t forget about the band’s significant musical legacy: they shaped the tastes of generations and set the standards of quality in metal. From the rapid onslaught of “Kill 'Em All” to the symphonic experiments of “S&M,” Metallica have always pushed the boundaries of the genre. Their early works, such as “Ride the Lightning” and “Master of Puppets,” became cornerstones of thrash metal. To this day, their new releases sell out in huge numbers, and reissues of classic albums are no less interesting.
