The ballet "Notre Dame de Paris" at the Mikhailovsky Theatre is an outstanding work by choreographer Roland Petit, based on the novel of the same name by Victor Hugo. In 2024, in honor of the centenary of Petit's birth, the theater included this work in its program, giving viewers the opportunity to enjoy the classics of world ballet. In 2021, Luigi Bonino, a friend and assistant of Roland Petit, brought the ballet to Novosibirsk. It is this performance of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater that will be shown on the stage of the Mikhailovsky Theater. Bonino, as the keeper of Petit's traditions, managed to preserve the original concept and spirit of the production, which allows the audience to feel the full depth and drama of the work.
