Roman Polkovnikov is a distinguished Russian ballet dancer whose career and talent have captivated audiences worldwide. A principal dancer at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre and a guest soloist at such prestigious theaters as the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Musical Theatre and the Mikhailovsky Theatre, Roman has earned recognition for his skill and charisma on stage.
Displaying exceptional talent from an early age, Polkovnikov graduated from the Novosibirsk State Choreographic School in 2005. His performances at the Golden Mask Festival in 2008 and 2014 became true events in the art world. He also represented Russia at the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, underscoring his significance on the international stage.
Roman Polkovnikov has performed many iconic roles, including Spartacus in A. Khachaturian's ballet of the same name, Siegfried and Rothbart in P. Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, and Basilio and Espada in Ludwig Minkus's Don Quixote. His talent was recognized with a gold medal at the 7th Youth Delphic Games of Russia and the Paradis Theatre Award.
