A Legendary Concert: KINO Presents "The History of This World" at Lotus Arena
This concert focuses on the inimitable voice of Viktor Tsoi. Thanks to the efforts of sound engineers who digitized the vocals from the original multichannel recordings, his voice sounds so powerful and pure that it feels as if the KINO frontman himself is invisibly present on stage, filling the space with his energy. Alongside him are his loyal collaborators – legendary guitarist Yuri Kasparyan and two bass players from different periods of the band's history: Alexander Titov and Igor Tikhomirov. Their skill and signature sound perfectly highlight the timeless power of Tsoi's voice.
The show is designed to demonstrate how KINO might sound today, and the organizers have accomplished this brilliantly. The program of more than 30 songs is divided into three parts, taking viewers through the band's entire creative path: from the early years with Alexander Titov on bass to the late period with Igor Tikhomirov. In the third half, both musicians will take the stage simultaneously.
A unique video sequence was created for this concert, combining archival footage, rare footage, and contemporary video art with 3D elements. Images of a young Tsoi, clips from music videos, and footage from the 1980s come to life on giant screens, creating an atmosphere of nostalgia and immersion in a great era. All of this is complemented by a powerful light show, transforming the concert into a world-class event.
The concert will feature all the well-known hits—"Blood Type," "A Star Named Sun," and "A Pack of Cigarettes"—that fans know by heart. But there will also be surprises: songs never before performed live will be performed. "The History of This World" at Lotus Arena is not just an attempt to revive the past, but proof that true art is timeless.
