January 2026 will give all Russian rock fans a chance to meet the legendary band Kino. Their concert will take place at the Lotus Arena in Phuket.
Kino is a true calling card of Russian rock, known far beyond our country's borders. Its origins date back to 1981, when a young band called Garin and the Hyperboloids transformed into the legendary Kino. It all began with small house concerts, gradually growing into large-scale concerts all the way to the country's main stadium, Luzhniki.
The death of Viktor Tsoi in 1990 shocked the entire music world. The loss of their frontman led fans and the musicians themselves to believe that resurrecting the band was impossible, as no one could replace Tsoi's charisma and talent. Years later, in 2012, the musicians attempted to join forces by releasing the song "Ataman," which was written during Tsoi's lifetime. While the attempt to revive the band proved temporary, it was a start. Seven years later, the singer's son, Alexander Tsoi, took up the initiative, deciding to gather the remaining members of the band to continue his father's creative legacy. Modern technology has achieved the impossible: now Viktor Tsoi's songs are played in the highest digital quality, and screens behind the stage show authentic footage from the family archive, films featuring the artist, and highlights from concert performances. This combination creates the feeling of Viktor Tsoi's presence on stage, enhanced by lighting and sound effects.
