Performance "Romulus the Great" at the Vasilyevsky Theater is a comedy by Friedrich Dürrenmatt, full of topical parody elements. The central scene is the moment when Romulus destroys the laurel wreath with his own hands, symbolizing his desire for peace. Despite his buffoonish behavior, the emperor has a clear plan and concept of government.
The role of Romulus is played by Yuri Itskov, adding depth and layers to the image of the last Roman emperor.
