On December 3, a concert of "Pishro" will be held on the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater as part of the Daira Festival of Oriental Arts. This event will be a real immersion into the world of Iranian music, which will be presented by the Fakhteh ensemble. The group, known for its deep research into the Persian musical tradition, will perform compositions that will take listeners back to the 14th-18th centuries.

The title of the program, “Pishro,” translates as “prelude” and refers to a musical form that was originally vocal and later acquired a rhythmic structure. This art has been preserved in the traditions of Iran, Turkey, and the Arab world, and now you can get to know it in St. Petersburg.

Iranian music is a unique legacy of ancient Persian culture, combining elements of classical music, folklore, and modern motifs. The concert will feature melodies performed on traditional instruments: kamancha, tar, santur, and tonbak. Particular attention is paid to the symbolism and content of the musical pieces, which are accompanied by the recitation of poems by great Persian poets such as Hafez and Saadi.

The Alexandrinsky Theatre, known for its excellent acoustics and historical atmosphere, will be the ideal venue for this concert. To become part of this unique event, we recommend buying tickets on our website.
