This is the name of one of the compositions in the third studio album "Cities, where the asphalt smokes after the rain". It was released in 1998 and was dedicated to the memory of Anatoly Krupnov and Alexey Ermolin, who were not only colleagues but also friends of Garik Sukachev.
"King of the Avenue" is the romance of youth, the daring of young hooligans from Tushino, freedom and carefree spring days. Who, if not a native Muscovite Garik Sukachev, can tell about this time, about those streets and the guys who walked next to him. Over almost 50 years of his musical career, there were many of them: talented, bright, brave. Evgeny Khavtan, Sergey Galanin, Sergey Voronov, Magomed Tartarovich and many others who performed on the same stage.
