The play "Three Concerts of Madame Teffi" at the Alexandrinsky Theater is an amazing immersion into the world of memories and irony, created based on the works of Nadezhda Teffi. The literary basis of the production includes the book "My Chronicle", the stories "Life and the Collar" and "Together", as well as the poem "Poor Azra". Svetlana Smirnova, possessing stage charm and irony, masterfully conveys the atmosphere of the works, telling in the first person - on behalf of the author, nicknamed by her contemporaries "the queen of Russian humor".
The performance reveals to the audience Teffi's witty observations on the easy and absurd vanity of life, as well as tragic memories of the time when the memoirs were written - 1919, the Civil War, the enterprise in Odessa, emigration. These events become the basis for deep and multi-layered reflections on fate determined by time.
The Alexandrinsky Theater, where the performance will take place, is one of the oldest and most significant theater venues in Russia. Its historical walls and unique acoustics create a unique atmosphere, enhancing the impression of the production.
