About event

The vocal evening "Was, is, will be..." at the Shostakovich Philharmonic is a unique musical event that will not leave classical music lovers indifferent. The evening will be held at the beautiful venue of the Shostakovich Philharmonic, which is famous for its acoustics and comfortable conditions for the audience.

 

The main heroine of the evening will be Irina Sharapova - Professor of the Concertmastering Department of the St. Petersburg Conservatory, Honored Artist of Russia, diploma holder of International competitions. She is the artistic director of the festival-competition "Three Centuries of Classical Romance" and an excellent piano player.

Irina Sharapova is a musician with a wealth of experience and outstanding achievements. She graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory in piano and teaches the concertmaster class at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. Since the 80s she has been performing with well-known musicians and performing various programs including works from early European and Russian music to contemporary composers. However, the basis of her repertoire is Russian vocal classics.

Irina Sharapova is a regular participant in concerts of the Philharmonic, Capella, the Composers' Union, the Conservatory and music festivals. She has performed not only in Moscow and other Russian cities, but also abroad - in Lithuania, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, France and the USA.

In addition to her active concert activities, Irina Sharapova is also engaged in teaching. More than 150 of her students have successfully graduated from the conservatoire and have distinguished themselves in the musical world. More than 30 of them are laureates of international and all-Russian competitions.
