“The Nutcracker” to the music of P.I. Tchaikovsky. Farukh Ruzimatov in Saint Petersburg, Hermitage Theater

The ballet production is based on – a wonderful fairy tale by Hoffmann and an immortal work by the great composer Tchaikovsky. The dream of the girl Masha on the most magical night of the year blurs the boundaries between reality and fantasy. A strange doll given to her for a holiday comes to life and turns out to be an enchanted prince. Masha plunges into the world of adventures and dangers, where she proves herself to be a brave girl. In the plot of the ballet “The Nutcracker” not only travel and battles are described, but also the first tender feelings of a maturing soul. Staged by choreographer Mikhail Venshchikov – a striking example of traditional St. Petersburg classical ballet. It includes dance parts from the creators Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. The famous “Dance of the Snowflakes”, “Waltz of the Flowers” and “Toy Divertimento” The modern public has already seen it, but “Adagio with a scarf” will be performed on the stage of the Hermitage Theater for the first time after a century.
