Lyudmila Maksakova is a name that embodies a brilliant career in theater and cinema. Born into the family of the famous opera singer Maria Maksakova, Lyudmila was surrounded by an atmosphere of art from childhood. After graduating from the B. V. Shchukin Theater School in 1961, she immediately became an actress at the Vakhtangov State Academic Theater, where her talent quickly won the hearts of the audience.
Maksakova performed many unforgettable roles in such classic productions as Princess Turandot, Richard III, and The Government Inspector. Her work in the theater has been recognized with numerous awards, including the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR and the State Prize of the Russian Federation. In 2018, she was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 3rd degree, for her contribution to the development of Russian culture.
