Ilya Kozyrev

Ilya Kozyrev is an outstanding actor whose name has already gained recognition in theatrical circles. A graduate of the Moscow Art Theater School, he began his career under the guidance of such masters as M. S. Brusnikina and S. A. Shchedrin. In 2023, Ilya joined the troupe of the A. P. Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, marking a significant milestone in his professional life.

He made his debut on the Moscow Art Theater stage in 2022, playing Vasenka in "The Village of Fools," directed by M. Brusnikina. His talent and charisma quickly attracted attention, and he was soon cast in a production of "Speech of the Mute," based on the work by V. Berdinskikh, directed by E. Shikhova in 2023.

Ilya was an active participant in the Moscow Art Theatre's ARTHAB laboratory, where he distinguished himself in the projects "Tell Me About Greenland," "The Infected Family," and "Something Must Be Done." He also plays Vladimir in K. Bogomolov's production of "Veronica" at the Bronnaya Theatre, and plays Alexei in "Something Must Be Done" at the Vnutri Space.

Critics have not ignored his work: in 2024, Ilya received the special "Discovery of the Year" prize from the Moscow Theatre Bloggers Award and was awarded the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper's Theatre Prize for his performance as Ilya Zvezdich in "Masquerade with Closed Eyes."
