Theatre-Theatre, located in the center of Perm on the Esplanade, is one of the most significant cultural sites in the region. Founded in 1927 as the Theater of Working Youth, today it is a modern venue with a rich repertoire and high-tech equipment.
Theatre-Theater boasts a building built in 1981 and recognized as an architectural monument of regional significance. Architects V. P. Davydenko and V. I. Lyutikova created a unique combination of style and functionality that attracts the attention of visitors.
Today the theater staff numbers 300 people, including talented actors, directors and artists. Thanks to its diverse repertoire, the Theatre-Theater offers audiences dramatic performances, musicals, ballet performances and bold theatrical experiments. All this can be seen on two stages - a large and a small stage, which is known as the “Hammer Stage”.
The artistic director of the Theatre-Theater is Boris Milgram, who has been successfully implementing his artistic concept for several years. Thanks to his talent and professionalism, the theater continues to delight audiences with unique and memorable productions.
Over the past century, more than 460 performances have been staged at the Theatre. Many of them received recognition at All-Russian, All-Union and international festivals. For example, in the 1990s, more than 20 performances were awarded diplomas for their high artistic value.
