Liam Lawson is a standout New Zealand racing driver who stands out among the young talents of the Red Bull Junior Development Programme. He has demonstrated his ability with numerous debut wins and titles in Formula 1, Formula Ford, Asian Formula 3, Formula 4 and the Toyota Racing Series. Even before turning 17, he has achieved impressive success, including a series win in the Toyota Racing Series. In 2016/17, Lawson excelled in the New Zealand F1600 Championship series and in 2019, he took the New Zealand Grand Prix to add three more victories to his tally for the season. In 2023, he debuted as the main driver of the AlphaTauri team from the round in the Netherlands, replacing the injured Daniel Ricciardo, and now occupies the eighteenth position in the overall standings.
