The Yevgeny Vakhtangov Theater in Moscow will host the play by the Maxim Gorky Moscow Art Theater - "Yesenin's Women". Under the direction of director Galina Polischuk and playwright Elena Isaeva, viewers will immerse themselves in the study of the inner world of the great Russian poet Sergei Yesenin through the prism of his relationships with the fair sex. According to the authors, the roots of Yesenin's love failures go back to his difficult relationship with his own mother. The theater reveals new facets of the poet's character, exploring the influence of childhood on his fate.
The authors of the play were inspired by the idea of the famous writer Zakhar Prilepin, set out in his book "Yesenin. Promising a Meeting Ahead." The creative team expands this original view, creating a touching, graceful and profound story about creative people looking for inspiration, and women who became the poet's muses.
