About event
For the second time in its history, the Moscow Operetta Theater invites viewers to the operetta “Bayader” by the Hungarian composer Imre Kalman. The operetta was staged for the first time in 1928, and it made an indelible impression on the Moscow audience. Today, the director of the production is the Honored Artist of Russia Inara Guliyeva, whom many know from her works both in our country and abroad.
Operetta "Bayadera" tells about the love story that arose between the oriental prince Rajami and the diva of the Parisian variety show Odette Darimond. First as a joke, and then seriously, the prince fell in love with the beauty. Their passionate love became so strong that very soon the couple decided to seal their relationship with a family union. But lovers face more than one obstacle on the way to family life. Eastern traditions and rituals can separate Rajami and Odette forever. Will they be able to overcome life's obstacles or are they not destined to be together? viewers will be able to find out by visiting “Bayadera” at the Moscow Operetta Theater. In the new production of the world-famous work, viewers will see colorful and fiery dances, brightly seasoned with the sweetness and passion of the East.
