Description
The Sochi Circus, which is part of the Rosgoscirk network, is a state cultural institution located in the picturesque Khosta district of Sochi. Its building is located at the intersection of Pushkin and Kurortny Avenues, next to the magnificent Arboretum, an outstanding example of landscape gardening. This unique architectural ensemble was created under the leadership of the first director, Semyon Aleksandrovich Pishchik, and a group of architects led by Yulian Lvovich Shvartsbrein, whose merits were recognized with the State Prize for the circus project.
The doors of the Sochi Circus first opened on May 19, 1971, to the sounds of a circus march. This grand opening, in which Yuri Nikulin himself participated, left an indelible mark on the hearts of all those present. The circus has a spacious auditorium for 2,000 seats, spacious vestibules and foyers, as well as observation galleries. The interiors are decorated with colorful mosaic panels and original figures of birds and animals, skillfully inlaid into the marble floor.
Each performance here is a bright event that gives the audience a sea of emotions thanks to the skill of the highest level artists. Visitors invariably leave the circus with a sense of celebration and generously reward the brave and charming performers with applause.
For the convenience of guests, the schedule of events and the poster are available on our website. Here you can also buy tickets for upcoming shows. The Sochi Circus invites everyone to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of circus art and enjoy exciting performances.
