Description
The Fisht Stadium, located in the village of Sirius in the Olympic Park, is a significant sports facility built for the XXII 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. Being the home arena of the Sochi football club, the stadium also hosted matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The name of the stadium comes from the mountain peak Fisht, which means "white head" in Adyghe. The architectural design of the stadium combines the images of a shell and a snow-capped peak, creating an impressive visual effect.
The stadium is designed for 40,000 spectators for the Olympic Games, 45,000 for international football matches and 25,000 for smaller events. Before the reconstruction, the stadium had an interactive field with 120 projectors, which was later replaced with a standard football surface. The canopies over the western and eastern stands are made of translucent material, which is highly durable and corrosion-resistant.
The Fisht Stadium corresponds to the 4th category of sports stadiums according to the UEFA classification. The field area is 105x68 m. For information on the schedule and event poster, visit our website. You can buy tickets for upcoming events on our website.
