Don Quixote in Saint Petersburg, Youth Theater on Fontanka

The State Youth Theater on Fontanka in St. Petersburg will host the performance of “Don Quixote”, based on the work of Miguel de Cervantes “The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha”. This image has become a real pearl of world literature and attracts the attention of not only viewers, but also other writers and playwrights. The play of the same name by Mikhail Bulgakov, based on the novel by Cervantes, will now be presented directed by Semyon Spivak, and the production designer will be Semyon Pastukh.

The performance will present a new interpretation of the main character - Don Quixote. Now he is not just an old man with naive views and no understanding of cruelty and evil. Director Semyon Spivak will show the romantic and sad side of the hero, which will be brilliantly embodied on stage by actor Andrei Shimko.
