The play "Cold Heart" at the V.F. Komissarzhevskaya Theater is a gripping story about a poor coal miner named Peter, who has to make a difficult choice between wealth and a living heart. A cunning wizard offers him fabulous riches in exchange for his living and sympathetic heart. The young man agrees to sell his heart for a "handful" of gold coins, but soon realizes that a heart of stone is incapable of experiencing joy, pain or love.
The production takes viewers into the magical world of Hauff, filled with legends and traditions, where incredible and wonderful events take place. The plot centers on the scary and funny adventures of Peter, who experiences both poverty and wealth, but realizes that money for the sake of money does not bring happiness. This story is especially relevant in our time, when many young people strive for wealth and success, without thinking about the consequences of their choices.
