The play "George Kaplan" at the G. A. Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater will be a bright cultural event. Directed by young director Arseny Bekhterev, a graduate of the Andrey Moguchy Workshop, this performance is based on the play of the same name by contemporary French playwright Frederic Sonntag. The premiere at the BDT will be the first Russian production of this play, which makes the event especially significant.

The plot of the performance revolves around three groups: an underground group of young activists, a team of scriptwriters, and members of a secret government. At first glance, these groups seem completely different, but they are united by one mysterious figure - George Kaplan. Who is he and why is his influence so significant? Arseny Bekhterev invites the audience to solve this intriguing puzzle on their own, touching on the themes of myths and information warfare, manipulation and a person who can change the world.

George Kaplan is not just a character, but a symbol that makes you think about the modern world and its complexities. The performance raises questions that have no clear answers, and each new answer gives rise to even more questions. This makes the production not only fascinating, but also deeply philosophical.
