The performance of "Shizgar" at the V.F. Komissarzhevskaya Theater is an exciting theatrical performance, which is a benefit of ten talented actresses. At the center of the plot is the fate of women gathered together by chance. They discuss love and hate, jealousy and betrayal, terrible and wonderful moments of life, trials and the ability to survive in the most difficult conditions.

The production of "Shizgar" is a tribute to the memory of Julia Voznesenskaya, the author of the novel "The Female Decameron". Voznesenskaya was an outstanding figure of informal art, a poet, activist and writer, whose life was full of dramatic events. After graduating from LGITMiK, she was convicted of "anti-Soviet propaganda" and exiled from Leningrad. In Munich, she worked for Radio Liberty, where she wrote her famous novel revealing the lives of Soviet women. In the late 90s, Yulia Voznesenskaya became a worker in a convent in France, and since 2002 she has lived in Berlin, where, despite a serious illness, she created and edited the websites "You will Win" and "Memorials", helping people cope with loss and avoid suicide.

"Shizgara" is a play about the strength, courage and dignity of women, about love, patience and compassion. The production touches on deep and eternal themes that will not leave the audience indifferent.
