The play “Baptized with Crosses. Notes on your knees" based on the autobiographical book of Eduard Stepanovich Kochergin, the main artist of the BDT. The book brought the author a prestigious literary award — "National Bestseller" award. In it, Kochergin talks about his childhood, spent in heated carriages during the move from Siberia to Leningrad. The son of "enemies of the people" I had to overcome a difficult path to return to my mother. The play shows the first years of this journey to the west.
