The play "The Tale of Igor's Campaign" at the Lensovet Theater offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of ancient Russian poetry. This event is part of the literary and educational project "Connection of Times", which recreates the sound of one of the most mysterious monuments of ancient Russian literature.
The play consists of two parts. In the first part, the audience will enjoy an introductory speech by Andrey Yuryevich Chernov, a Russian poet and literary historian. Then Anton Paderin will read "The Tale of Igor's Campaign" in modern Russian, translated by A. Yu. Chernov. This translation allows the modern viewer to understand and feel the text more deeply, preserving its poetic power and beauty.
In the second part, Andrei Yuryevich Chernov will present the text in its original Old Russian sound. This allows the audience to feel the rhythmic and sound structure of the work, which, according to Chernov, has polyrhythm and a rich poetic culture.
The performance will take place on the stage of the Lensovet Theater, which is known for its high-quality productions and cozy atmosphere. This is the perfect place to enjoy a work that is an integral part of the Russian cultural tradition.
