The performance "The Steadfast Tin Soldier" at the Musical Comedy Theatre (St. Petersburg) is a unique work based on the famous fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The story of the tin soldier's steadfastness and loyalty, first published in 1838, was given a new life thanks to the libretto by Nikolai Denisov and the music by Sergei Banevich.

In this interpretation, not only the heroes of the original fairy tale appear on stage, but also characters from other works by Andersen, such as the Nightingale, the Piggy Bank and the Blind Mole.
