Ilze Liepa — an outstanding Russian actress, ballerina and People's Artist of Russia, known for her deep understanding and subtle performance of classical works. Her creative career spans many significant productions, and each of her performances becomes a real event in the world of art. On September 2, at the State Academic Chapel, Ilze Liepa will present a unique concert “Opening triptych. Pushkinian", dedicated to the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin.
On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the creation of the Governor's Symphony Orchestra of St. Petersburg, this concert will be the first in a series of three grand events that will open a new creative season in the Capella Hall. The evening's program will feature both well-known and rarely performed works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Sergei Prokofiev, inspired by the poetry of Pushkin. A special highlight of the evening will be the world premiere of a work for symphony orchestra created by the young and talented composer Alexander Tleuov in honor of the 225th anniversary of the birth of the great poet.
