The tour of the Moscow Theater for Young Spectators (MTYUZ) will present the play “Mary Stuart” at the Bolshoi Drama Theater. G. A. Tovstonogova. The play by F. Schiller, translated by B. Pasternak, tells about the confrontation between two great women - Queens Elizabeth of England and Mary Stuart. The play raises themes of power, fear, mercy, honor and love, remaining relevant for two centuries.

The play “Mary Stuart” is nominated for the Russian National Theater Award “Golden Mask” 2023 in three categories: female role (Victoria Verberg and Sofia Slivina), male supporting role (Sergey Pogosyan and Ilya Shlyaga). The director of the production was Pyotr Shereshevsky, the designer was Nadezhda Lopardina, the composer was Nick (Vanechka) Tikhonov, and the lighting designer was Alexey Popov.

Among the leading actors are Honored Artist of Russia Victoria Verberg (Elizabeth, Queen of England) and Sofia Slivina (Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots). The performance also features Igor Balalaev (Count Leicester), Sergei Pogosyan (Baron Burley), Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Taranzhin (Paulet), Ilya Shlyaga (Mortimer), Leonid Kondrashov (Davison) and Sergei Volkov (Obepin).
