The Primorsky Academic Regional Drama Theater named after M. Gorky invites you on tour to the Ermolova Theater with the production “Only Girls in Jazz.” The performance is based on the legendary Hollywood film and Broadway musical "SUGAR". The action takes place in Chicago in the 1930s, where two unemployed musicians, Joe and Jerry, witness gang violence and, fleeing persecution, decide to leave the city. 

By lucky chance, the women's musical group leaving for tour lacks a saxophonist and double bassist. Dressed as women, Joe and Jerry join a jazz band and go on tour. During the performances, Joe, now known as Josephine, falls in love with the lead singer, nicknamed Sugar, and decides to win her heart by becoming a millionaire.

Meanwhile, Jerry, now saxophonist Daphne, attracts the attention of elderly millionaire Osgood Fielding Jr., who insists on getting married. Friends, covering for each other, try to cope with new roles and avoid detection, because the whole gangster society gathers in the hotel where they perform.
