Performance «Duel» - this is a new creative proposal from the project «Theatre First» theater from the beginning», which conducts its tour at the Youth Theater on Fontanka. This project, created by director Ekaterina Koroleva in 2022, strives to be accessible and simple for a wide audience.
The performance is based on a story by Alexander Ivanovich Kuprin, published in 1905. The story is about a noble and decent man, Georgy Romashov, who finds himself drawn into the brutal life of an army barracks. He is faced with injustice and untruth, which leads him to an internal conflict with himself. Lack of courage and perseverance in changing his life leads to his death. However, his act of mercy towards the poor soldier Khlebnikov reveals his true personality.
Performance «Duel» not only conveys timeless themes of honor, nobility and inner strength, but also adds musical and dance numbers to create even greater emotion and depth.
