Based on the texts of Vasily Sigarev, a famous director and screenwriter who created such cult films as "Top Wolf" and "Country of Oz", the play stuns, shocks and penetrates to the very depths of the soul.

The events unfold over ten years in the life of Russia and the characters of the play. The question of what will happen to each of them, how time will change their destinies and whether they will be able to preserve themselves is asked by the eternal song of Yuri Shevchuk. This is a story about the Motherland and about us.

The first part of the play takes place in 1991, when "Field of Miracles" is shown on TV, the State Emergency Committee's speeches are broadcast on the radio, and young guys are seeing off their friend to the army, staying at home with their dreams of first love and a prestigious job.

The second part takes the viewer to 1995, where the main character, Lerka, becomes a shuttle trader, traveling around cities and villages, selling Chinese toasters. She is expecting a child and it seems that she will soon become absolutely happy.

Finally, the third part takes place in 1999, when Boris Yeltsin's farewell New Year's speech is heard in all the media. The country is on the verge of change, but what happens to Lerka? She has lost her husband and daughter, and hope for a better life. She no longer expects changes, but a chance meeting with a childhood friend can change everything.
