The performance, created by Elena Isaeva and Olga Mikhailova, immerses the audience during the Second World War. Lydia Ruslanova not only performs concerts at the front under bullets, but also meets her fate – General Vladimir Kryukov. Together they reach Berlin, where Lydia triumphantly performs at the Reichstag and receives the order from the hands of Georgy Zhukov. However, friendship with the marshal leads to tragic consequences for the family of Ruslanova and Kryukov. The singer is sent to the Gulag, where she shares the fate of many people who suffered from repression.
After Stalin's death, Lydia Ruslanova returns to Moscow and starts life with a clean slate, restoring the honor and dignity of her family. Doubts and fears do not stop her, and she rises like a phoenix from the ashes, singing her favorite song “Valenki” in front of an enthusiastic audience in the Concert Hall named after P.I. Tchaikovsky.
