The third truth, or... in Saint Petersburg, Baltic House

Performance "The Third Truth, or..." at the Baltic House theater is a unique event that will not leave theater and history lovers indifferent. Stage director Vadim Danziger brought to life Olga Mikhailova's play dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Nizhny Novgorod province.

The performance is a detective forensic investigation, in the center of which are documentary replicas of two great Russian people - Russian Prime Minister Pyotr Stolypin and writer Leo Tolstoy. The time of action is 1910, lawyer Yanshin, doubting the guilt of his client, turns to these famous and progressive people of his time for help.

Producer Vadim Danziger sees in this story a philosophical parable about the non-relationship between the people and the authorities, about misunderstanding. He created an atmosphere of the last century that immerses the audience in that time and allows them to compare what is happening on stage with the events of today.

The set design and costumes created by the theater’s chief designer Boris Shlyamin help convey the atmosphere of the time and place, and the actors do an excellent job in their roles, recreating the images of historical figures.
