The Mikhailovsky Theater (St. Petersburg) invites you to the ballet "Swan Lake".

The production will be presented by the Konstantin Tachkin Ballet Theater, established in 1994. The repertoire of the theater includes mainly classical works such as «Giselle» by A. Adan, «Don Quixote», «La Bayadere» «Paquita» by L. Minkus, «The Sleeping Beauty», «The Nutcracker» and others.

Over the years, the theater company has performed in Norway, Australia, Japan, Brazil, Turkey and other countries.

This evening the theater offers to watch one of the most popular ballets, which is considered the pinnacle of Tchaikovsky's work. It is noteworthy that the premiere of the fairy tale was not very successful. Neither the audience nor the critics liked what they saw on stage. «Pure crap» called his work and the composer himself.

Of course, now this work is an absolute classic, a marvelous fairy tale, which is watched with interest by both children and adults.

Siegfried is a romantic who dreams of meeting true love. And so by chance he meets the marvelous girl Odette. But only at night she takes human form, and during the day she turns into a swan. The evil wizard's charms are to blame.

Blinded by the Prince's beauty, the wizard's daughter Odile turns into Odette and snatches just one kiss from him. But now, because of him, Odette will forever remain in the form of a swan.

Still, good always triumphs over evil. That is why in the final part Siegfried emerges victorious from the battle with the wizard and Odette becomes human forever.
