About event
The play “Timur and His Team” at the Lensovet Palace of Culture from the “Karambol” Theater is a musical story in two parts based on the famous story by Arkady Gaidar. This literary masterpiece has long been part of children's classics, and its motives are close to many generations. Parents, grandparents of today's schoolchildren once played “Timurovites”, inspired by the ideas of friendship and mutual assistance.
The main character, Timur Garayev, and his team fight the raids of Mishka Kvakin and his group, protecting the gardens of civilians. These seemingly harmless children's games reflect the atmosphere of the pre-war period, when the dacha town near Moscow lived its ordinary life. However, events are already looming on the horizon that will force everyone to unite against a common enemy.
The performance allows modern children to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the pre-war years and learn how their peers lived at that time. The production is distinguished not only by its exciting plot, but also by its magnificent musical component. Both adults and young artists, as well as the ballet and orchestra of the St. Petersburg State Children's Musical Theater "Karambol" take part in the performance.
The artistic director of the theater, Honored Artist of Russia Irina Brondz, created an atmosphere that conveys the spirit of the times and allows the audience to experience all the events together with the characters.
