In the captivating music of Tchaikovsky and the fairy tale story of Charles Perrault, which everyone knows from childhood, choreographer Nacho Duato found new meanings, emotional shades and plastic images. Inspired by the choreography of his great predecessor Marius Petipa, Duato does not argue with him, but sometimes quotes him - respectfully or slightly ironically.

The plot of the fairy tale «Sleeping Beauty» is familiar to everyone from childhood: the princess pricks her finger with a spindle and falls into a dead sleep for a hundred years, and only the prince's kiss can work a miracle and revive the girl. In the ballet all the action is even more fabulous and diverse, we see here not only the Princess and the Prince, but also other princes, numerous fairies, evil and good, and of course, representatives of the royal family. Bright costumes, changing sets and wonderful music by Tchaikovsky will not let any spectator get bored, and Nacho Duato's unique choreography will allow us to look at the traditional plot from a new, unfamiliar side. And yet his «Sleeping Beauty» is still the same magical fairy tale with a colorful panorama of pictures that mesmerize the viewer.
