The musical "Frankenstein" at the Musical Comedy Theatre is a unique combination of literary classics and modern musical art. Created by Russian authors, this performance for the first time in the history of the Russian theatre brings to life Mary Shelley's world-famous novel "Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus".

The audience is immersed in the atmosphere of the 70s of the last century, where classic rock and roll becomes the main musical accent. This choice is not accidental: dynamic and powerful music emphasizes the tragedy and drama of the story about a man who dared to challenge nature and become the Creator.

The musical by Roman Ignatyev and Alexei Frandetti inherits the traditions of the Gothic novel, continuing the line of dark romanticism, as in "Jekyll and Hyde" and "The Vampire Ball". However, it also embodies the spirit of the concept musical, like "Cabaret" and the works of Stephen Sondheim. This requires from the performers not only brilliant vocal technique, but also the highest level of dramatic mastery.

The central theme of the musical is the question of the limits of human ambition and responsibility. The heroes of the play are looking for answers to eternal questions: what does it mean to be a Creator? Where is the line between science and ethics? These philosophical reflections make the production not only spectacular, but also deeply meaningful.

The director and author of the libretto Alexey Frandetti, the musical director and conductor Alexey Nefedov created a work that will not leave any viewer indifferent.
