The play's main characters, Jack and Leo, are hapless actors who earn their living by playing Shakespeare scenes for very small fees in provincial theaters.

But one day, an opportunity to change the course of their fate appears in their lives. They learn that an elderly millionaire is looking for her missing nephews in order to give them all her money. Jack and Leo decide to use their acting talents to trick the old woman and become millionaires themselves.

The plan seems very simple, but, as it happens in comedy and in life, everything starts to go wrong...
