Performance "Khanuma" in the Lensovet House of Culture is a musical comedy, the action of which takes place at the end of the 19th century in one of the oldest quarters of old Tiflis — Avlabare. The story tells of the bankrupt Georgian prince Pantiashvili, who decides to get married for the sake of financial salvation. To do this, he hires the famous matchmaker Hanuma, who finds a bride for him — an elderly but rich woman. However, another matchmaker, Kabato, seeks to marry the prince to the beautiful Sonya, the daughter of the Armenian merchant Mikich.
The conflict intensifies when Sona, contrary to the plans of her father, the prince and Kabato, falls in love with young Kote, the prince's nephew. Hanuma, wanting to help the couple in love and prevent her rival, decides to ruin the prince’s matchmaking. The plot of the play is filled with comical situations and unexpected twists, which makes it interesting for a wide audience.
