About event
The play “Lenin from Revda” at the Baltic House is a unique production that will not leave any spectator indifferent. Director Dmitry Krestyankin, known for his inclusive and social projects, invites you to become a participant in a real talk show. The main theme of the play is a discussion of the fate of the Lenin monument in the Ural city of Revda. Spectators will be able not only to watch what is happening, but also to actively participate in the popular vote, deciding whether to demolish the monument or leave it in place.
A special feature of the performance is its unusual space: the stage is located on the marble staircase of the theater, which creates the effect presence on Victory Square, where the monument stands. This solution allows the audience to be completely immersed in the atmosphere and feel like they are part of the events.
The production of “Lenin from Revda” is a creative experiment that blurs the boundaries between the stage and the auditorium. Dmitry Krestyankin openly talks with the audience, involving them in the discussion of important social issues. This makes the performance not only interesting, but also significant, making you think about the problems of modern society.
