The play "What to Do" at the G. A. Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater offers viewers a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a philosophical debate, where the stage turns into a pulpit, and the auditorium into an auditorium. This is not just a theatrical performance, but a real seminar, where eternal questions about freedom, love and honesty are raised, and how they relate to the modern world and the 19th century.
The focus is on the fate of women and the desire for freedom. The main character, Vera Pavlovna, from the first minutes of the performance declares her desire to live by her own rules, without submitting to other people's expectations: "I want to be free, I don't want to owe anything to anyone." This manifesto becomes a starting point for reflection on what it means to be free in the modern world.
The production takes place on the historical stage of the BDT, where every corner breathes history and drama. The theater, known for its rich tradition and innovative approaches, once again opens its doors to spectators ready for intellectual and emotional discoveries.
