Description
Jeunesse Arena, formerly known as the Rio Olympic Arena, is a multi-purpose sports and concert venue located in the heart of the Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro. Opened in July 2007, the arena can accommodate up to 18,000 spectators, making it the largest indoor arena in the city. Over its history, the complex has hosted the 2007 Pan American Games, the 2011 Military World Games, and the gymnastics events of the 2016 Summer Olympics.
The complex, with an area of approximately 65,000 m², includes multi-purpose spaces that can be used for both training and corporate events. The central arena has dimensions of 60*40*16 m, and the training hall is 32*42*16 m. Around the main arena there are places for important guests and the press, as well as 53 boxes, which allows for comfortable conditions for all categories of visitors.
Jeunesse Arena is equipped with modern means of accessibility, including eight elevators and four ramps for wheelchairs, as well as a parking lot for 1,300 parking spaces. For the convenience of spectators, the arena is equipped with an electronic scoreboard measuring 4.47*3.44 m.
