RCF Arena (Campovolo) in Reggio Emilia

Description

RCF Arena is the success story of the Italian project. It is the largest concert arena in Europe, located near the small town of Reggio Emilia, on the territory of the former Campovolo Airport, and can accommodate up to 103,000 people. The arena's sound equipment is a real pride. 410 RCF speakers, designed and manufactured in Italy, provide the most powerful sound. To represent its power, we can say that the speakers consume about two megawatts of electricity.

The grand opening of the arena was accompanied by a historic concert dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the musical career of Italian artist Luciano Ligabue. Previously, Ligabue had already performed on this territory when it was still a Campovolo airfield. In 2015, he set a European record by gathering 150,000 spectators at his solo concert, voiced by RCF systems, and with customized red body parts.

RCF Arena is designed for concerts and other events. The arena area is divided into 5 zones, providing optimal visibility and sound quality. The zones are covered with grass and have a slight slope of 5%, which provides good visibility from behind the arena. The stage is located in the center of the arena with a viewing angle of 110°. RCF Arena is also conveniently located, being close to two airports (Verona and Bologna), and is also easily accessible from Rome, Naples, Milan and Florence thanks to high-speed trains. This place is becoming one of the key music arenas on the European continent.
