Mikhail Porechenkov graduated from the LGITMIK in 1996 and began his career at the Kryukov Canal Theater. He later joined the Lensovet Academic Theater, where his talent blossomed in productions by directors such as Yury Butusov, Vladimir Pazi, and Vladimir Shamirov. In 2002, Mikhail made his debut at the Moscow Art Theater and has since become a permanent member.

For his impressive performance in The Kreutzer Sonata, he received the Oleg Tabakov Prize, and in 2017, he was awarded the Figaro Theatre Prize as "The Best" for outstanding achievements in dramatic art.
