Nikita Kobelev

Meet Nikita Viktorovich Kobelev, an outstanding director whose work is captivating and thought-provoking. A graduate of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS), he began his career with vibrant productions such as "The Campanile of St. Mark" and "The Tale of Mr. Sommer." From 2012 to 2020, Nikita was a staff director at the Mayakovsky Theatre, where he created a number of memorable productions, including "Love of People" and "Berdichev," which received acclaim from critics and audiences.

Nikita Kobelev is not only a theater director but also a talented teacher. He taught in the Mindaugas Karbauskis workshop at GITIS, passing on his experience to young actors. His work has received numerous awards, including the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper prize and the Jewish Communities of Russia award.

Since June 2023, Nikita has been the Principal Director of the Alexandrinsky Theatre, and from July 2024, he will become its Artistic Director.
