Mikhail Efremov is a renowned actor and director, holding the title of Honored Artist of Russia. He is the son of the renowned Oleg Efremov, who also achieved fame as an actor and director. Mikhail has numerous outstanding works under his belt, including at the Sovremennik Theater, the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, and in the film industry. After a forced break, he returns to the stage of the Masterskaya 12 Theatre, where Nikita Mikhalkov has prepared a special production for him. The play "Without Witnesses," based on the play by Sofia Prokofieva, will be a key event of the current theatre season. The leading roles will be played by Mikhail Efremov and Anna Mikhalkova. The premiere is scheduled for March 25, 2026. This is a profound drama about human relationships, built on dialogues between two characters, and is an adaptation of Nikita Mikhalkov's 1983 film of the same name.
