Mikhail Aleksandrovich Labkovsky, born June 17, 1961 in Moscow, is a famous Russian psychologist, writer, lawyer, and also hosts programs on television and radio.


Forbes magazine noted him as the most famous psychologist in Russia with an annual income of 130 million rubles. Labkovsky received a silver YouTube button. His book “I Want and I Will. Accept Yourself, Love Life, and Be Happy,” published in 2017, became a bestseller with a circulation of 226,000 copies. He is also the author of the book “I Love and Understand. How to Raise Happy Children (and Not Go Crazy with Worry).”


Biography


Mikhail Labkovsky was born in Moscow and is the grandson of historian A. Z. Manfred. As a child, he faced attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.


In 1989, he completed his studies at the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy at the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute named after V. I. Lenin. Before that, he was expelled twice from other institutes: the Moscow State Institute of Culture (theatrical and directing department) and the history department of the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute named after V. I. Lenin. Labkovsky also has a law degree and is a specialist in family law.


He worked as an elementary school teacher and school psychologist. In the 1990s, he was an employee of the state Moscow family consultation.


In 1991, Labkovsky began studying at the Family Mediation Service in Jerusalem. In 1994, he confirmed his diploma in Israel and received a master's degree in psychology. He also worked as a psychologist in an evening school and in the Jerusalem mayor's office, where he worked with difficult teenagers in the colonies.


Mikhail Labkovsky has long worked as a presenter on various radio stations in Russia and abroad. In the late 1990s, he hosted programs on Radio Nostalgie.


Since 2004, he hosted the nightly and weekly interactive program "Adults about Adults" on Radio Ekho Moskvy. In 2012, the program was closed due to the entry into force of the law on the protection of children from harmful information. Alexey Venediktov, the editor-in-chief of the radio, said in the program "Without Intermediaries" that the program will not return until the law is changed.


From February 13, 2016 to March 2, 2022, Labkovsky hosted the program "Adults about Adults" on Radio Silver Rain.


He acted as an expert in the television programs "About This" and "The Domino Principle" on NTV, as well as in the program "My Family" by Valery Komissarov.


Labkovsky founded his own family consultation, where they deal with divorce issues, marriage contracts, as well as issues related to children and settlement agreements, and conduct public consultations.


He also maintains a blog on YouTube.
