Description
Irina Viktorovna Krug, née Glazko, and in her first marriage Vorobyova, was born on March 29, 1976 in Chelyabinsk. She is a famous Russian singer specializing in Russian chanson and a multiple winner of the "Chanson of the Year" award. Irina was the second wife and became the widow of the famous performer Mikhail Krug.
Irina grew up in a family of a military man and a draftswoman. From an early age, she was fond of theater and attended a club at the local community center, dreaming of becoming an actress. She married early and in 1995 gave birth to a daughter, Marina. However, the marriage soon fell apart.
From 1997 to 1999, Irina worked as a waitress in the Chelyabinsk restaurant "Malakhit". It was there that she met Mikhail Krug, a famous chansonnier. He invited Irina to become his costume designer, and for a year their relationship remained strictly business. Mikhail, accustomed to loneliness, kept a close eye on Irina until he decided that they would live together. In 2001, the couple officially registered their relationship, and on May 26, 2002, their son Alexander was born.
The tragedy occurred on the night of June 30 to July 1, 2002, when Mikhail Krug was killed in his home. After his death, a family friend, Vladimir Bocharov, suggested that Irina perform several songs in memory of Mikhail, which became the basis for her first album, "The First Autumn of Separation."
